FUE Hair Transplant in Orlando

FUE Hair Transplant in Orlando: NeoGraft and J Graft™ at Dr. J Anti-Aging Clinic

For many patients, hair restoration is a two-phase journey: start with non-surgical regenerative treatments to preserve and stimulate existing hair, then consider a surgical transplant when density goals exceed what injections alone can achieve. Dr. J Anti-Aging Clinic offers both and I want to give you a clear, honest picture of what FUE hair transplant looks like in 2026, what distinguishes NeoGraft and our proprietary J Graft™ procedure, and who makes the best candidate.

I’m Dr. J an ABIM board-certified physician with over 25 years of clinical experience in Central Florida. Hair restoration is not a sideline for me. It’s a primary clinical focus, and I am personally involved in every patient’s plan.

What Is FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction)?

FUE is the modern standard for surgical hair restoration. Unlike the older strip method (FUT), which removes a strip of scalp and leaves a linear scar, FUE extracts individual follicular units one at a time using a small punch tool typically 0.8 to 1mm in diameter. Each graft is a natural grouping of 1 to 4 hairs as they naturally grow from the scalp.

These grafts are then transplanted into recipient sites in the thinning or balding area. Because individual follicles are extracted rather than a strip, healing is faster, scarring is minimal (tiny dot-like marks rather than a linear scar), and the patient can wear their hair short without visible scarring.

NeoGraft FUE at Dr. J Anti-Aging Clinic

NeoGraft is an FDA-cleared automated FUE hair transplant system one of the most widely used and clinically validated platforms in modern hair restoration. It uses pneumatic pressure for both extraction and implantation, which reduces manual handling of grafts and helps preserve graft viability during the process.

  • Minimally invasive: no scalpel, no linear scar
  • Faster extraction: automation allows larger sessions in a single day compared to manual FUE
  • Graft preservation: controlled pneumatic handling reduces graft trauma
  • Recovery: most patients return to light activity within 3 to 5 days; transplanted hair sheds at 2 to 4 weeks then regrows progressively from 3 to 12 months

J Graft™ Dr. J Anti-Aging Clinic’s Proprietary Protocol

J Graft™ is Dr. J Anti-Aging Clinic’s proprietary hair transplant procedure that uses the smallest available punch for follicular harvesting smaller than standard NeoGraft settings combined with expedited graft processing and a specialized implantation technique designed for rapid healing and accelerated early regrowth. The smaller punch produces even less visible scarring and reduces trauma to the donor site.

J Graft™ also integrates PRP application during the transplant procedure a step supported by published clinical evidence. A 2025 systematic review (PMC12506585) specifically evaluated PRP as an adjunct to FUE hair transplantation and found consistent improvements in graft survival, hair density, and earlier regrowth onset across all three included controlled studies. Adding PRP to the transplant session is not just an upsell it’s evidence-informed practice.

Non-Surgical vs. Surgical: How We Decide

Not every Dr. J Anti-Aging Clinic patient needs a transplant. The decision depends on:

  • Stage of hair loss: early to moderate thinning often responds well to PRP, PRF, and exosome protocols alone; advanced baldness (Norwood VI–VII in men) typically requires surgical restoration to achieve density goals
  • Donor hair availability: FUE requires healthy donor follicles on the back and sides of the scalp; patients with limited donor density may need a modified approach
  • Patient goals: some patients want to preserve hair without committing to surgery; others want the most permanent density restoration possible
  • Age and progression: younger patients with rapidly progressing loss may benefit from stabilizing with medical therapy before surgery to avoid transplanting into an area that continues to thin

At your Dr. J Anti-Aging Clinic consultation, I review your Hamilton-Norwood (men) or Ludwig (women) classification, donor zone assessment, and goals and give you a direct recommendation. There is no pressure toward surgery if it’s not the right fit.

What Results Look Like

Transplanted hair follows a predictable cycle: grafts shed at 2 to 4 weeks post-procedure (this is normal and expected the follicle is intact even if the shaft falls out). New growth begins emerging at 3 to 4 months. Visible density improvement is typically noticeable at 6 to 9 months. Final results are assessed at 12 months, though some patients continue improving to 18 months.

With J Graft™ PRP integration, patients typically report earlier visible regrowth onset consistent with the published literature on PRP as a transplant adjunct.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many grafts do I need?

Graft count depends on the area to be covered and the desired density. A modest frontal hairline restoration might require 1,500 to 2,000 grafts. A more extensive crown plus hairline restoration may require 2,500 to 4,000 grafts. Dr. J Anti-Aging Clinic provides a graft estimate at your in-person consultation after assessing donor density and recipient zone area.

Is FUE permanent?

Transplanted follicles from the permanent donor zone (back and sides of scalp) are not genetically programmed for DHT-related miniaturization which is why they survive in their new location. Results are long-lasting. However, if native hair in non-transplanted zones continues to thin (which is common), additional treatments or a second session may be needed over years. Managing progressive loss with PRP maintenance helps protect the non-transplanted area.

Can women get FUE hair transplants?

Yes. Women with stable donor zones typically women with pattern hair loss rather than diffuse unpatterned alopecia can be good candidates for FUE. Female hair transplant candidacy requires specific evaluation because donor zone stability is essential for long-term outcomes. We discuss this in detail at consultation.

Does Dr. J Anti-Aging Clinic offer financing for hair transplant procedures?

Yes. Dr. J Anti-Aging Clinic offers interest-free financing for up to 24 months with approved credit. We want hair restoration to be accessible please ask about financing options at your consultation or call (407) 972-1197.
