A PROSPERO-registered PRISMA systematic review and meta-analysis assessing HA fillers for midface augmentation across PubMed, CENTRAL, Web of Science, Scopus, and EMBASE. Analysis of five randomized controlled trials involving 748 participants found a statistically significant difference in Global Aesthetic Improvement Scale (GAIS) responder rates between HA-treated and control groups (RR = 3.27, 95% CI: 2.26–4.75). Moderate-to-severe adverse events were rare with no statistically significant increase compared to controls (RR = 1.70, 95% CI: 0.08–34.55).
